Being queer is ordinary. That’s the premise of the show on our walls right now — not invisible, not a spectacle, just life being lived. The Ordinary comes down with a Closing Reception on Tuesday, June 30. This is the last week to see it, and the last week to take a piece of it home.
Here’s the thing about Pride Month: it ends. The logos change back, the rainbow displays come down, and the question of who actually shows up for queer artists gets quieter. We built this show on the opposite idea — that support shouldn’t be seasonal, any more than queerness is.
The most direct way to show up is to collect. When you acquire a work, or a print from The Ordinary, you are supporting the artists to keep making the work you fell for.
