CARRIED, NOT TOLD · ON VIEW THROUGH SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17 · NEW YORK

Hi {{first_name|there}},

Cécile Roberfroid's Carried, Not Told opened last Thursday and runs ten more days, through Saturday, October 17.

Carried, Not Told

Cécile Roberfroid · solo exhibition · October 1–17

Cécile Roberfroid, Fragments Of Us, 2024, oil on canvas, 36 × 60 in

Cécile Roberfroid, Fragments Of Us, 2024, Oil on canvas, 36 × 60 in, $4,850

Fragments Of Us is five feet wide, the largest painting in the show. Pale yellow and gray, one dark line wandering through it, red breaking in at the edges. It is the one that keeps changing the longer you stand there: the middle may read as a figure, then as weather, then as a figure again.

Cécile Roberfroid, Holding The Space, 2026, oil on canvas, 36 × 36 in

Cécile Roberfroid, Holding The Space, 2026, Oil on canvas, 36 × 36 in, $2,900

Cécile Roberfroid, Why Wonder, 2025, oil on canvas, 36 × 24 in

Cécile Roberfroid, Why Wonder, 2025, Oil on canvas, 36 × 24 in, $2,150

Holding The Space is this year's painting and the warmest thing on the wall: orange and gold moving across white like heat, with a small dark figure sitting inside it. Why Wonder is the other end of her range. The color drops to ochre and blue, and a figure appears, folded in on itself, painted in dragged white. Both are about the same thing. One keeps it, the other shows it.

Every work in the show, with its price, is online.

The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday, 1–6 PM, this week and next. That is eight days and two Saturdays. We are glad to walk you through the show by appointment, at any hour that suits you. Reply to this email.
