Infinite Oasis
Bill Buchman · Solo Exhibition · October 22 – November 7
Bill Buchman was born in 1947. Infinite Oasis is his first solo exhibition in New York after a prolific career in Europe.
The show spans 1965 to 2026. Etchings he pulled as a young artist hang alongside canvases finished this year, and across those sixty-one years the same restless line keeps moving. Bill trained twice, as a painter at Cornell and as a jazz pianist at the New England Conservatory, and he calls what he makes Visual Jazz. In Night Vision you can hear it: color set down in blocks like chords, an oil-stick line improvising over the top, nothing tidied up afterward.
The opening is next Thursday, October 22, 6–8 PM. Bill will be there, and wine will be served. Free and open to the public, please RSVP.
Wednesday–Saturday, 1–6 PM, and by appointment · 325 Broome Street, 1W
